I am a product designer based in the Baltimore and D.C. metro area driven by taking a researched and human-centered approach to design.
I've worked on and led digital product development in technology, healthcare, and investment management industries. As a Product Designer, I led design initiatives that impacted the end-to-end customer journey, designing brand-defining experiences for a range of consumer-facing products and enterprise applications. I’m focused on creating compelling, thoughtful, and scalable digital solutions.
I received my B.F.A in Illustration and Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design in 2008 and started work as a Graphic Designer in New York City after graduating. I originally set out to New York to become a painter, but through various enjoyable professional and personal experiences, I transitioned my career into problem-solving complex design challenges through client work and within corporate organizations. I currently live in Ellicott City, MD.
Responsible for the design and development of global supply chain management and AI/ML products. Take broad conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable applications for internal users at Dell. Work collaboratively with Business Partners, Users, Product, Engineering, and other partners from concept to MVP. Own the end-to-end design (user flows, interaction, visual, etc.) across multiple products. Present designs, prototypes, and concepts to cross-functional partners and stakeholders. Provide implementation guidance to engineers and ensure features launch at the highest quality. Clearly articulate design decisions to internal stakeholders and collect user KPIs to measure product success.
Lead the UX design for market-facing corporate initiatives. Determine which UX methodologies are required at the beginning of a project in order to keep the project on time and within budget. Conduct user research and testing including remote usability testing. Building project personas, journey maps, and service blueprints. Create storyboards, site maps, and process flow diagrams to define project strategy. Present design concepts and deliverables to stakeholders and product team members. Deliver wireframes, low- and high-fidelity prototypes to the front-end web development team and create custom product style-guide and sketch libraries. Mentor UX team members and provide constructive feedback for UX designers and oversee design deliverables.
Worked closely with the Personal Investor Product Team in an Agile/Scrum workflow to design visually-compelling web applications. Incorporated usability testing feedback and performed research to uncover user needs, perceptions, and preferences. Created interactive wireframes to inform new content. Presented design concepts and deliverables to stakeholders and product team members.
Led client meetings and presented creative concepts to solve for project requirements. Trained other design specialists. Evaluated presentations and developed storyboarding for complex concepts. Developed documentation and templates for various work types, including interaction design and complex presentations. Adapted Johnson’s Baby brand for book format, and worked with Universal McCain ad agency to obtain client approval.
